about ME

Urmila is an alien born on Earth. Her outlandish ideas about equity in adult-child relations are suspected to be inspired by her home planet. Now that she’s slowly adjusting to mankind, she’s just a part-time rebel and fully taken on the human experience.

This is Urmila’s debut novel, but she became a published writer while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in English. While going steady as a freelance writer for The Times of India, Indian Express, etc. in India, she got her Master’s in Communication Studies ’07 from the Pune University. During that time, her thesis geared toward media content for children drove her interest to seek her second Master’s in Children’s Literature ’10 from Eastern Michigan University, USA. This program and her maverick philosophy sowed the seed of becoming a writer.

about Stories

Most people consider dandelion a pesky weed. To me, it’s a pretty flower that spreads its millions of spores (read love) to keep the green cover intact. Yet so underrated!

“Stories” is all about telling stories of people like the dandelion.
